Good design does three things: it works, feels coherent, and shows identity. If it also helps generate new insight, even better. Through research, sketching, modeling, talking, asking, testing and building we arrive at the best balance of the three—where intuition is an important indicator. The world is full of beautiful, unforeseen possibilities—bumping into them gives energy.
Everything we use today grew step by step. From the way we live and work together to the screw in our house, the flour for our bread, or the phone we can’t put down — all these things came from curious people using their hands, heart and head, in other words: skill, knowledge and instinct.
Exploration and investigation always bring pleasant surprises — penicillin is a well-known example.
So: together we can question assumptions, examine coherence, explore design principles, experiment with materials, play with color palettes, run through processes and create models or clear visualizations that bring your vision to life.
