I’m an Amsterdam-based creative who explores new ideas, techniques and perspectives. After graduating from the Rietveld Academy in 2011, I’ve mainly worked independently on design projects and taught at both the Rietveld and HKU since 2012, continuously learning along the way.Along the way I’ve learned that curiosity and courage go hand in hand. I believe life becomes richer when we step outside our comfort zones—and I try to live by that every day. For me, creativity is about discovery, growth, and enjoying the process of trying something new.

longevity - it means that if you make an object do it well - with maintenance and its end of life in mind.material - it is the foundation of what i do. i want to know what my materials are made of and what they disintegrate into. in a perfect world, that would be an easy task. i aim for as little environmental impact as possible.
comfort - it stands for loss of autonomy, fear of getting tired, loss of skills, loss of resilience, and so on. luckily, there is a life after comfort.
structure - it simplifies complexity and brings understanding. it provides a grid for stories to be told, and with it, one can play with what ought to be.
chaos - it happens when we are not looking. it brings so many beautiful things. we desperately try to make it go away, knowing we will not succeed.
imperfection - it makes us what we are. it often leads to something new. it is so much more complex than perfection.
coherence - it can only exist if all excesses are removed. it is honest and clear. it is difficult to achieve.
